Her accomplishments include:

| • | Blocking efforts to increase Oregon’s debt |
| • | Katie has fought relentlessly to protect taxpayers from mismanagement of the proposed new I-5 bridge over the Columbia River where more than $140 million has already been spent on consultants and studies. |
Quality Schools & Successful Students
Katie supported the most significant package of education reforms in Oregon history. Thanks to her efforts, Oregon parents have more educational choices, school districts have more flexibility over their budgets, and taxpayers have increased accountability.
Protecting Our Most Vulnerable Citizens
Katie supported legislation to increased penalties for elder abuse and to give police additional tools to prosecute crimes against senior citizens. As a survivor of violent crime, Katie has made it her mission to help families heal in the aftermath of a devastating violent crime. Katie also voted to provide relief to seniors with reverse mortgages under the Senior Property Tax Deferral Program.
Growing our Economy & Creating More Jobs
We need more elected officials in Salem who will vote to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and pass bills that encourage private sector job growth. Katie will continue to fight for Oregon’s small business owners so they can expand and put more people back to work.
